Store Christian d. 8 champagnefløjter, 4 stk. BrocherHeight 17. 5 cm. These glasses are unusually large and do not appear in any Danish glass catalogs. Foreign glassworks describe oversized champagne glasses as glasses for ziska. Ziska is a kind of "day after" drink with sugar, baking soda, salt and soda. Christian d. 8 was produced at the major Danish glassworks, Holmegaard, Kastrup and Fyens Glasvrk from the mid 1800s until the 1940s, when it was discontinued.
